Famous Last Words was formed in 2013 by four veteran musicians, Jeff Ezell, Ted Ethridge, Bill Shaw and Wayne Piggford, to bring their take on Rock’s classic songs and artists to the Upstate of South Carolina. Not content to just play the most popular songs, the band also plays the deeper cuts of Rocks most popular bands. Their first gig in 2013 was covering the Who for a Woodstock celebration at the Handlebar. After a successful first gig, the band continued to play in venues around the Upstate. You will hear them move effortlessly from the Allman Brothers to Bob Marley to The Beatles to Tom Petty, even delving into dance and blues. After the passing of founding member Jeff Ezell, the band decided to continue on in his memory by playing only select events in the Upstate including annual fundraisers for the Alzheimer’s Association and other Upstate Charitable events and private engagements.
